Svinninge Bakery, with 4 bakery locations, like the rest of the bakery industry, has been feeling the impact of rising electricity and raw material prices.
That’s why steps were taken some time ago to reduce electricity consumption. And it worked!
Electricity consumption was reduced by almost 20% in October alone.
Inge, the owner of Svinninge Bakery, explains that many initiatives have been implemented, such as:
- Technical installations have been adjusted and inspected.
- Changes in behavior regarding several baking methods.
- Adjusted opening hours.
The overall impact is clear. One of the bakeries has saved nearly 25,000 kWh this year compared to last year. And this, notably, without any investment in new equipment.
Inge states:
“We have gone through almost all work processes, routines, and installations to save electricity, so it’s gratifying to see that it has worked.”
And Inge adds:
“The reason I ordered the Målerlup electricity analysis was to see the effect of our initiatives, and you can clearly see that in the Målerlup analysis.”
Despite the significant effort and impressive results, it doesn’t stop here. The e-screening review identified further potential areas for savings that will be examined more closely. It will be exciting to follow the development of electricity consumption at Svinninge Bakery.
The e-screening provides an overview of electricity consumption, identifies potential savings, shows the effect of initiatives, and helps detect potential overuse. For a limited time, the first analysis is free – learn more here.
