Great success in Kolding municipality

Energy reduction of 12 nursing homes in Kolding

No costs for new equipment
High project satisfaction during and after
No disruption to operations
In Kolding Municipality, we have been working diligently on energy savings since 1998. When we heard about the “Spot Waste” project, we became very interested. In collaboration with the municipality’s Head Dietitian, we decided to implement the project at our 12 nursing homes. The results have certainly not disappointed us. We have achieved significant savings that we were not previously aware of. Therefore, I would recommend my colleagues to look into what “Spot Waste” can offer.

Montra Hotel Sabro Kro

At Montra Hotel Sabro Kro, the “Spot Waste” project revealed, among other things, that it was costly to turn on the dishwasher earlier than the staff arrived, just to run a few trays of dishes and ensure there were enough coffee cups for early guests. “Being able to measure each machine and look at the schedules of when they are used has been educational. Together with the chefs, we have made some minor changes to save energy without affecting their daily work,” says Jakob Beck Wätjen.
